Chain of custody
One unbroken sequence.
Everything below is something we do ourselves and can account for. The numbering does not restart when the parcel leaves us, because the chain does not either — the last four stages are yours, and they matter as much as ours.
Our stages carry the condition the material was in. Yours do not, for the honest reason that we cannot record what we no longer hold.
Intake
Lyophilized, sealedCompounds reach us already lyophilized and vialed, and are assigned an internal reference on arrival so any unit can be traced back to the shipment it came from. Where the material is made, and which parts of that we do and do not do ourselves, is set out on Manufacturing.
Labeling
Compound, strength, RUOEvery vial is marked with the compound, strength, and research-use-only status. Nothing is relabeled, repackaged under a second name, or sold as something it is not.
Storage
−4°FStock is held lyophilized in dedicated freezer storage kept for this material alone, protected from light and moisture, and pulled only when an order is packed.
Packing & dispatch
TrackedOrders are packed to limit temperature and handling stress in transit, and sent in plain outer packaging that does not identify the contents. We ship within the United States, and every parcel goes out tracked so it is accounted for from dispatch to delivery.
The handover
From here the material is in your hands. If the vial, the seal, or the label is not what you expected, stop and contact us before opening it, and we will put it right.
Check the vial before anything else
Confirm the compound and strength on the label match the order, and that the vial and its seal arrived intact.
Get it back to −4°F promptly
Lyophilized material tolerates transit at ambient temperature, but that tolerance is not indefinite. Return it to freezer storage on arrival rather than leaving it at room temperature.
Keep it dry and out of the light
Let a vial reach room temperature before opening it, so condensation does not form on cold material. Lyophilized peptide is hygroscopic, and absorbed moisture is the most common cause of avoidable degradation.
Record what you received
Log the compound, strength, and the internal reference printed on the label, along with the date it arrived. It is the record that makes any later question about a specific unit answerable.
